The Night Angels & Valerio Kopylenko

Valerio Kopylenko is widely known as a guitarist and co-founder of the Night Angels. This band has been playing an exotic mix of smooth-jazz, chansons and gypsy-jazz. Their music will take you on mysterious and romantic journey into a world of sensual exotic melodies and tantalizing rhythms.

Valerio Kopylenko Biography

Valerio Kopylenko has begun his musical career in Riga, Latvia as a drummer. Over the years, he has widened his horizon learning new musical instruments. He spent a lot of time in Yurmala playing in hotel "Astoria" and in "Russo" restaurant. He spent almost twenty years touring with Russian Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 1990 Valerio immigrated to the United States and continued his musical career. He joined a blues band "Mofos" where he was playing for five years. They had played with various famous guitarist including:

. Kal David, (blues musician)
. Bob Nickols (Avant-garde Jazz)
. Trio Mendoza- Brazilian music band
. Freeway, Russian band from Portland playing Smooth Jazz

Inspiration

Valerio, musician from Russia with his Gypsy and Greek heritage blends Eastern European rhythms, Gypsy Jazz and Mediterranean tunes together into his own unique style.

"All of my music is created within the heart and my heart belongs to my lovely family", says Valerio.

His inspiration comes from the love of his family. Wife, Natasha, who is a professional dancer, has been helping Valerio all these years.

Two sons, Angel and Shandr, are his passion. Valerio enjoys teaching both of them the guitar and watching them succeed.

Valerio is always busy creating new music in his well-equipped home-based studio. He is looking for talented, versatile and tasteful individuals interested in playing and creating music together
